Used Uniflair ARAF0521A Air-Cooled Chiller with Free Cooling, 49 kW, 2015

This used Uniflair ARAF0521A is a 49 kW air-cooled chiller built in 2015. Stock number CC23/214. It is in very good condition, tested and in running order.

Two scroll compressors run across two independent refrigerant circuits on R410A.

At 49 kW, the chiller covers around 14 tons of refrigeration.

Free cooling circuit

This unit has an integrated free cooling circuit. When ambient air drops below the return water temperature, the chiller uses outside air to reject heat directly and runs the compressors less, or not at all.

In the UK climate that is a large part of the year. Free cooling is the single biggest running cost saver available on a machine this size, and buying it already fitted costs far less than retrofitting it.

Ready to run

The chiller includes a circulating pump, a water storage vessel and an expansion tank. Those three parts are usually specified, bought and piped separately. Here they are already on the unit.

Operating weight is 700 kg and the footprint is 2010 x 1090 x 1560 mm, so it fits where larger plant cannot go.

Small data rooms and comms rooms, laboratories, light process cooling, and small commercial buildings. The free cooling circuit makes it a strong fit for anything running year round.
