This Howden XRV 163 is a new, unused screw compressor block, supplied in its original crate from the Howden factory. It is the XRV 163 frame, a smaller block than the XRV 204 range, with adjustable Vi control.

Design

The XRV 163 is an oil-injected rotary screw compressor with parallel male and female rotors for smooth compression. It uses adjustable or automatic Vi control, with ratios between 2.6:1 and 5.0:1, so the block can be tuned for efficiency across a wide range of operating conditions.

The block is built with precision-machined rotors and roller bearings. That reduces maintenance and supports a long service life.
