Used Emerson CL0458 Air-Cooled Screw Chiller, 544 kW, 2016

This used Emerson CL0458 is a 544 kW air-cooled screw chiller built in 2016. Serial number 12176440001, stock number CC24/232. It is in excellent condition.

Two Bitzer CSH screw compressors run across two independent refrigerant circuits on R134A. The evaporator is a shell and tube type. Condenser coils are copper and aluminium.

At 544 kW, the chiller covers around 155 tons of refrigeration.

Bitzer CSH compressors

The CSH is a well-supported semi-hermetic screw. Parts and service cover are widely available across the UK and internationally, which matters on a machine you expect to run for another decade.

Shell and tube evaporator

A shell and tube evaporator handles a wider temperature range than a plate type and copes better with water that is not perfectly clean. That makes it a stronger choice for process duty and for sites without tight water treatment.

Integrated pump

The unit includes a skid mounted single circulating water pump. That removes a separate purchase and the pipework to connect it.
