Used Daikin EWAD260D Air-Cooled Screw Chiller, 260 kW, 2017

This used Daikin EWAD260D is a 260 kW air-cooled screw chiller built in 2017. Serial number CH-17B02989, stock number IS23/223. It is in excellent condition and in running order.

Two semi-hermetic screw compressors run across two independent refrigerant circuits on R134A. The evaporator is a shell and tube type. Condenser coils are copper and aluminium with an epoxy coating.

At 260 kW, the chiller covers around 74 tons of refrigeration.

Low temperature capability

The shell and tube evaporator allows a wider operating range than a plate type, including negative temperature glycol applications. That opens up process duties a standard comfort cooling chiller cannot handle.

Coated coils

The epoxy coating on the condenser coils protects against corrosion. That matters on coastal sites, on chemical plant, and anywhere the air carries salt or industrial pollutants. Coated coils typically add years to coil life in those conditions.
