Used Daikin EWWQ720L Water-Cooled Chiller, 720 kW, 2019

This used Daikin EWWQ720L is a 720 kW water-cooled chiller built in 2019. Stock number CC23/224. It is in excellent condition with fewer than 200 running hours and comes with parts warranty.

Four scroll compressors run across two independent refrigerant circuits on R410A. Plate heat exchangers serve both the evaporator and the condenser.

At 720 kW, the chiller covers around 205 tons of refrigeration.

Fewer than 200 hours is close to new. On a 2019 machine that means the compressors, bearings and heat exchangers have barely started their working life.

Water-cooled operation

A water-cooled chiller needs a cooling tower or dry cooler on the condenser side, so it suits plant rooms and internal installations where an air-cooled unit cannot be sited.

The trade-off is efficiency. Water-cooled condensing runs at lower head pressure than air-cooled, which cuts compressor power for the same duty.
