This Howden WRVi 255/145 is a new, unused bare compressor block, supplied in its original crate from the Howden factory. It is the 145 frame in the WRVi 255 range, a step down in capacity from the 255/193.

Capacity

  • High-stage capacity: 1380kW at -10/+35, 3000 rpm
  • Low-stage capacity: 439kW at -40/+35, economised, 3000 rpm

Design

The WRVi 255/145 is an oil-injected rotary screw compressor with parallel male and female rotors for smooth compression. It uses a manually adjustable Vi system, which gives a wide operating range across different duties.

The block is built with precision-machined rotors and roller bearings. That reduces maintenance and supports a long service life.
