Used Star Refrigeration Azane AA400 Ammonia Chiller, 275 kW, 2014

This Star Refrigeration Azane AA400 is a 275 kW air-cooled ammonia chiller built in the UK in 2014. Stock number CC24/236. It is in very good condition.

The unit runs on R717 ammonia, a natural refrigerant with a GWP of zero. Ammonia sits outside F-Gas quota restrictions entirely, so there is no phase-down risk attached to the refrigerant and no F-Gas leak check regime to fund.

Two Bitzer OSKA screw compressors run across two independent refrigerant circuits. Absorbed power is 47 kW.

At 275 kW, the chiller covers around 78 tons of refrigeration.

Build quality

Star build to an industrial standard rather than a commercial one. This unit has fully welded steel pipework and high grade valves and fittings throughout.

The condenser coil is stainless steel. The evaporator is a gravity fed plate heat exchanger.

Operating weight is 12650 kg. Check your foundation and craneage before you order.
